My pant leg sliding up,

That I have a new tattoo:

“The Lovers,” it reads

At the bottom, but as far as

Tarot cards go, it’s more

The Magician —

A man in the center,

Performing some magic

While old hobgoblins

Play chess in the back.

I realize I haven’t cleaned it

At all, haven’t used any

Kind of moisturizer. But

It looks fresh, and healed.

A minor miracle.
